Theme settings
Colors
Colour schemes are the heart of the theme's look. Every section picks a scheme, so changing one scheme updates every section that uses it.
How colour schemes work
Open Theme settings → Colors. Each scheme holds a background, text, accent, button and border colour. Sections choose a scheme in their own settings, usually under Color scheme, or follow the store default.
- Edit a scheme once and every section using it updates.
- Keep text and background contrast high. The theme raises muted text automatically, but a light grey on white will still be hard to read.
- The accent colour is for highlights, links and active states. Avoid using it for long text.
- Use a dark scheme for one or two bold sections (a promotion, a newsletter) rather than many.
Try a scheme quickly
Change a section's scheme to preview it, then decide whether to edit the scheme itself.
